KS-1 or Abusive Cores?
Deciding between Kimsufi's KS-1 and Abusive Cores' Plan-1.
Their prices are close but Abusive Cores comes with no setup fee.
Putting RAM aside, talking about pure CPU performance, which one should be better in
practice (dedicated core Atom N2800 vs dedicated thread Xeon L5639)?
Which one is better?

- KS-1 Atom N280042.86%
- Abusive Cores dedicated thread Xeon L563957.14%

vote KS-1, you can max CPU, IO, network.
You can max CPU in Abusive Cores as well. Isn't it?
Not knowing Abusive Cores at all (I've only seen their comments here), I'd go kimsufi, but assuming Abusive Cores is as reasonable as OVH (Monitored nodes, Tor Relays allowed, you really can abuse the cores 100% like on kimsufi, etc), I'd go with them as you'll get 4.5x better single thread performance, and 1.7x better multithread performance if your only focused on CPU.
That being said, Abusive Cores is still a xen based provider, so other VMs could cache thrash the CPU, and if CPU pinning isn't properly done and the box is under heavy load, performance could be impacted. I'd try Abusive Cores though, and if it isn't working well for you, then try OVH.
Delimiter has a dedicated X5650 core VPS as well
Yeah, a X5650 core is a bit better than a L5639 due to being clocked a bit higher. Same amount of cache and same CPU socket even. I'd go Delimiter if price is a factor and CPU really is all you want, otherwise go kimsufi.
AbusiveCores is one of @drserver 's lines. Would recommend them. However both Kimsufi and Delimiter are great too.
Most of the comments saying Abusive Cores has better CPU but KS-1 is getting more votes. Could someone who voted for KS-1 give an explanation?
Interesting. What virtualization does it use? And I can max out CPU like Abusive Cores right? Look like a potential candidate.
what about dediserve ? they also offer 100% CPU usage, dont they ?
I'd say go for abusive cores since KS-1 is imaginary - you can't buy it anyway.
Delimiter's selling a thread/logical core on that plan based on Mark's conversation with someone else earlier. He showed someone a screenshot of VM cpu usage and said one of their VMs was using 99%-100% of the logical core for days/or a week.
Otherwise, he seems like a nice guy and knowledgeable sales rep/whatever.
KVM and yeah you can completely max it out 24/7. Mark shared this geekbench from one before: http://browser.primatelabs.com/geekbench3/3785159
I felt compelled to let you know that this post was reported. Also +1 for AbusiveCores. Though, I recommend Delimiter as well. Both solid choices run by good people in my view.
@PcNy just get this for $15/Month u can use this 24/7 all day long

i would never use VPS for heavy computing just my 2c
Its KVM based and you can max the core 24/7
I'm partial to NFOServers for my VDS - slightly above LE* pricing, but comes with some nifty features and is in a pretty nice DC. Strict TOS but very friendly to gamers.
