  • Just a useless SEO link buffer site for VPS6.net - Nothing of use for actual users.

    http://www.opensiteexplorer.org/links.html?group=0&page=1&site=openvztemplates.com

    Another example: http://cheapserverdeals.info/

  • Yeah the sites don't actually work or do anything useful unfortunately.

  • Quite few sites like these by vps6 just for seo

  • Stupid little link-wheel with RSS syndication scripts. Oh well, good on them. At least it's not Xrumer to the wall and they user buffer sites :)

    http://tophostingnews.net
    http://cheapvpsdeals.net
    http://server-extra.com
    http://xentemplates.com

Some of there other useless self promoting sites, probably works well for them though

@zahoufar Check back on http://openvztemplates.com and http://xentemplates.com within the next few weeks. After much delay, we're finishing up some development work to launch the sites, and will be putting free and paid versions of templates up for download.

@Kris The VPS6.NET Content Network is designed with genuine interest and readership in mind. Most of the sites draw a considerable number of visitors who show genuine interest in the content, based on time on site and return visit metrics.

Then I wonder how disappointed they are when they find dead links or non-existent content.

  • @joepie91 Sorry for the lack of clarification, I meant to describe the content-driven sites (VPS-Extra, TopHostingNews, etc) by that statement. For the most part, each of the platforms aside from the template sites are fully functional.

You said something to this effect last time (months ago) when someone else questioned it.

Yes, after sitting on the shelf for the better part of the year, the template sites are finally getting some attention. :-)

I'm sure they'd even show more interest if they were able to respond to the threads / places the content was hijacked, I mean curated from.

It's smarter SEO than I usually see, but still sloppy. If you're going to rank yourself for VPS templates to sell virtual private servers, add something useful to the website.

  • @Kris Thanks for the advice, will take it into account as we finish up some of these sites!

    Paid? Paid OpenVZ templates? What?

  • @gubbyte said: Paid? Paid OpenVZ templates? What?

XenTemplates.com will be more likely to have paid versions available; the cost (which we are working on a licensing model for) will cover personalized customization and support for rolled-in software.

To be clear, these will be custom builds featuring sought-after or otherwise uncommon prepackaged software. No one will be charging anything for minimal templates, or those obtained from official sources such as OpenVZ's templates page. :-)

  • So, vps6, do you owned by servergurus now? :)
