"Confiscated" is just a fancy word for "broken in and stolen by authorities"
It's important to note that they had no right to enter the place but they scared the guards to use them to trick us and get the door opened. Once done they took away all our means of communication but we succeeded to call for help though, that did not prevent them from locking us inside when they left.
It's also very important to always have a camera to watch behind the door.
In such a context, it seems important to have a really resilient setup!
