Looking for 4GB Dedi/VPS for small game server [US/EU preferred]

I have a $25 budget and I am looking for a server to run a small game server for a few friends and I.

So far I have found a few cheap servers (dedi/VPS respectively) with 4 GB DDR3 RAM through "Wholesale Internet" and "IperWeb Overzold". I'm a bit worried IperWeb may be a bit TOO oversold...

Any other ideas/offers around the web? Thanks!

(Also if anyone has had any bad experiences with any that are recommended, please say!)

Is the 4GB RAM necessary? I'd recommend RamNode's premium KVM for a small server for your friends. It'll only be 2GB RAM but I think it's better to go with less RAM and a better server than some cheap stuff that'll lag due to overselling or whatnot.

Well, I'm also going to be running a small database and web server (just a JSON API) for a school project which is why it would be helpful to have the 4GB!

What about the new Prometeus/IperWeb pooled resource plan? If you can afford to lose 1GB RAM you can come in well under budget, for a few dollars more, you can get a ton of extra resource.

IperWeb is by Prometeus and they're one of the best providers around here (consistently near the top of the quarterly polls). I had an OVerZold plan for a while and it worked great.

In your case though I'd spend a few bucks more and go for one of Prometeus' regular non-oversold VPSes -- they're still a very good deal (€9/mo for 4GB) and they're on SSDs, which are a good idea for game servers: https://www.prometeus.net/site/vps.php

I have shortlisted everything I could could find within the budget... SiamPowerWeb is a bit dodgy so not too sure about it. MyCustomHosting and Servdiscount both look okay though. I need to start considering the CPU as well.

Any of these particularly 'bad'? Wholesale removed already (as someone above said uptime was bad).
