weird PPTP problem on mac.

So I set up a PPTP server. Been using it fine on my windows laptop/desktop. However, today, I decided to use PPTP on my macbook air. Everything is fine except I can't access certain websites (such as paypal, webhostingtalk...can't ping either) I can still access most other websites.

So at first I thought something was wrong with my PPTPd config. But then I tried to connect to my PPTP server on my windows machines, and everything works (including webhostingtalk).

Anyone has any idea why this is happening?

  • Look through a traceroute, for starters.

Have you got the 'send all traffic across VPN' box checked?

What @jhadley said should work, make sure in TCP/IP it's set as "Use PPP" and Options "Send all traffic over VPN connection" is ticked
