What is native DDoS protection?

Native DDoS protection is filtering/scrubbing done in the datacenter, as opposed to doing the filtering in another datacenter and backhauling the traffic to the datacenter.

Why is native DDoS protection better?

Native DDoS protection offers lower latency, which is a huge advantage for game servers, which often attract DDoS attacks. In addition, the network is designed to better cope with the stress of DDoS attacks. Sometimes, leaks occur, and in facilities with native protection, you'll see higher end gear that is able to cope with these leaks better. This results in less null routing and higher uptime!

Who is the Los Angeles and Dallas mitigation from?

Psychz provides our top-notch Los Angeles and Dallas DDoS mitigation and scrubbing. They utilize a mixture of NSFOCUS and internal filtering to provide highly efficient and effective scrubbing. On top of their amazing filtering, they boast a massive network in each location utilizing some of the highest quality carriers around.

Who is the New Jersey and Miami mitigation from?

Choopa provides the mitigation in New Jersey and Miami. They use a completely in-house system that has proven highly effective and extremely accurate. Choopa is also regarded as having one of the best networks on the east coast, out performing all others!

How much mitigation does each VPS get?

Each node has 10 Gbps of DDoS mitigation shared between all of the VPS. Usually, DDoS attacks are short (<30 minutes) and just a few Gbps, allowing multiple clients access to the scrubbing, with additional capacity in-case of some of those larger attacks. The amount of packets per second varies between our mitigation vendors between 2 Mpps and as high as 10 Mpps!

Do your OVZ VPS now include DDoS mitigation?

No! Only our KVM VPS include DDoS mitigation!

Do you have any test IPs? (Mitigation is not be active on these IPs, they will be nulled.)

Los Angeles Test IPv4: 104.149.18.203

Dallas Test IPv4: 45.34.12.147

Piscataway Test IPv4: 206.221.176.194

Miami Test IPv4: 104.243.47.102

When will my VPS be setup?

Our Miami and New Jersey nodes are already up and running! Once your order is approved, your VPS will be deployed. Our Dallas and Los Angeles nodes should be online tomorrow (October 12th).

  • Tell us more about the native DDoS protection, please. How does it work?

That's a good point, give me a few moments and I'll add a little bit to the FAQ on that.

    Edit:
I've added a bit to describe native vs remote mitigation. On the point of how the mitigation is being done, it varies between our vendors. Information about how each mitigator currently scrubs and monitors their networks is up above already!

  • Order link leads to whmcs login, is it correct link? @steven_f

That's really awkward... My apologies! Here are the proper URLs, I've flagged the post, so hopefully someone will get to it soon.

    512 Plans:
(New Jersey) (Miami) (Los Angeles) (Dallas)

    1024 Plans:
(New Jersey) (Miami) (Los Angeles) (Dallas)

    Edit:

Since you pointed out that mistake, I'm assuming you're interested, I'd like to give you 75% off your first month (and then the 30% recurring)! Think about how many people saw that, but didn't report it?!

    Please private message me!

  • Are Dallas and Los Angeles just 10gbit ? I see a lot of psychz providers advertising @ 20-40gbit levels and some even @ 100gbit levels.

We decided to start with 10 Gbps, if it is not enough, we'll upgrade to a higher commitment level.

We're not under attack, haven't been since that last one.

  • ssd or hdd?

    ssd or hdd?

Currently HDD, if the offerings take off, we'll evaluate using SSDs.

What if they don't take off due to not being ssd ?

    Then we've got bigger problems.
