Dual Opteron 2373 vs Intel® Xeon® E3 1230 v3
I need your advice.
I have one of the online.net servers, E3 1230 currently in offer with 32 GB RAM.
The price is pretty good but together with the VAT, the price per IP seems to be a little bit expensive.
I've seen the wholesaleinternet offer of the opteron 2373 and my question is: is it OK to get in from this company? Also the server comes with 5 ipv4 usable, which is perfect.
In terms of network, beside the location, how fast is compared with online.net ?
In any case, overall, do you recommend the servers from them?
Thank you.

Not the same server, but take a peak at the network tab for the Serverbear I ran on my Core2Quad at WSI - http://serverbear.com/benchmark/2015/09/03/iLwJJp0H8WzIGEJd
Wholesaleinternets servers are mostly older processors and DDR2 ram and they were very careless once upon a time. I used them before and my server was down two days because of a faulty power cord. That was 2 years ago now they are a bit better as far as network goes they also average about 10-20 minute ticket time, id say they are worth a try. Some people would beg to differ so you might want to get a few deeper comments before commiting.
Here it is my result on my online.net server E1230

Stay away, as far away from them as you can. They like to replace failing components with even more failing ones...
no comparison really.. the Opteron is 4 times slower (single thread wise) and 2 times slower Multi thread. basically the opteron is crap.
