move whatsapp from android to bbZ10

I have an android phone which has died. I have a spare bbz10 spare phone.

Any way to move my whatsapp message backup from Android to bbz10? Whatsapp website says we cannot..

Anyway to achieve it?

all the archives are saved on sim card or microSD, just move those for your new phone and register with your same number again, it will work.

Yes, I have tried that with 2 android phones.

will that work with Blackberry (new) and Android (old/ original source)?

It should. BlackBerry will create the same folder structure of Android. So should work
