PayPal is most popular and relevant cheap processor.

  • STRIPE!

In the UK and we love it

  • @Jacob said: 2CO a comfortable 5.5% and $0.45 Trans fee, and 5% held for 90 Days.

Do you mean "comfortable while touching ones toes"?

  • @2Checkout said: There are NO: monthly fees, recurring fees, gateway fees, merchant fees, cancellation fees, etc.

    Chargeback fees?

For UK or NON US sellers, unknown conversional rate, as they convert the order (which was original in GBP) to US (loose some money on conversional rate) and later on convert from US to GBP back (again loosing some money) in order to transfer the money to the UK bank = this way the transaction fee is more than 5.5% + what ever cents.

  • @2Checkout said: To address the conversations about our rates, we wanted to let you know our fees for US sellers have changed to 2.9%+30¢ per transaction. Other countries remain at 5.5%+45¢. However we bundle our rates to keep it simple. There are NO: monthly fees, recurring fees, gateway fees, merchant fees, cancellation fees, etc

That rates are bad and that "special services" are default with anyone else.

Personally I don't like 2CO, and the reasons are pretty obvious:

  • @Jacob said: @ShardHost Like who..?

    Paymill and soon stripe

    2checkout fees are ridiculous.

@superpilesos said: 5.5% is fine but 0,45$ is too much when you're selling shared hosting packages.

    This +1

Current players are PayPal micropayment and Liberty Reserve...

  • You might not have any problem with PayPal now, but once you have a sum of money, let say large enough to pay server rents or so, and they suspend your account and hold your money for 6 months, then it might become a disaster.

The problem is they might suspend you and not giving any specific reason of suspension and they don't listen.

  • @2Checkout douchebags will suspend your account without any notice, then make you wait 90 days for your money and after 90 days they will make you some unrelated reason why they won't wire you the money and why they will keep your money. They will of course not listen you after that, you will get ignored.

That's your thanks for 4 years of processing and paying them over $5k in fees. Enjoy the last $500 douchebags, if that makes you pathetic company happy my company is gonna donate that to you instead of charity, you obviously need that more.

    Yes, I'm pissed off :(

This is a problem of any payment gateway. Google checkout held £20,000 of our money for months because we changed a password. Depending on cashflow for a business that could be a killer blow.

  • @vRozenSch00n so who did this happen to And what was the end result. Never got their money back for no reason at all. /roll /troll /out

Same here, their UK beta is going brilliantly!

Recently signed up for GoCardless - nice and simple, with very low fees. Only drawback is you don't get the money for a few days.

  • We use 4 different ones Paypal, Google Checkout, Stripe.

Paypal - It just works and 90% of people have it.
Google Checkout - Works fairly fast payouts to checking account.
Stripe - Great for accepting credit cards, same rates as paypal and GC. Take 7 days per payout to checking account.
Bitpay - 2 users so far. I have .1072 in bit coins and 5 dollars in US dollar in there. Can't withdraw with less than $25 in your account. Can have bitcoin directly converted to us dollar when purchased.

payza - Scary with people not getting paid out
Liberty Reserve - May look into still kinda shady at least to me.

  • @natestamm It happened to me but got the money back after six months

Yes an inevitable business risk when it happened...
