We can provide KVM based virtual servers in Siberia or Tatarstan, Russia.
We use a mix of Rostelecom and Transtelecom for connectivity. They have excellent domestic and international peering.

Suitability will of course depend on your budget ;)

  • I have looked into your offers but I can't find any information on the website about your company, no company name or phone contact. Are you operating a official business?

If without advertising on LET > reg.ru, infobox.ru provide affordable offers.

Prices in Rubles always better than in USD or EUR

  • Would personally stay far away from reg.ru.

  • I had a pretty good experience with FirstVDS.

Although while you get 100mbps in Russia, network performance isn't that great outside of Russia

Stay away from fastvps.ru, rusonyx.ru, clodo.ru, hostkey.ru/com. reg.ru is fine, but their network capped on VPS'es to around 20 mbps as i remember. Know nothing about vstoike.ru but i recommend to avoid non-Moscow locations if you don't target local market in some town.

According to your aims (network, uptime), i think this one should fit your needs: https://vscale.io/en/pricing.html
If you can live with 512 mb ram then use their lowest plan (~3$ / month). If you strictly need 1 GB ram, then use their second plan - (~6$ / month).

Also check out this my comment (information is actual): http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/comment/623067/#Comment_623067

  • We offer Moscow,RU location at 1Gbit.

Vscale (Selectel) has SCALET200 promo code for 200 RUB.

All 1Gbit really capped to 100Mbps, you cannot get more than.

  • stay with us, best prices

  • tgk76 said: best prices

Not really, you are on the expensive side.

Look into their prices in Rubles :)

But 10Mbps unlimited port not a best deal. 100Mbps has a 1Tb BW only. Can find better deal for the same cost.

    hostkey.com

    I've corrected it for you.

Funny, it's so much cheaper if you watch the site in russian. Price are not that bad. Strange to change so much the prices depending on the language template you use!

Better learn a tiny bit of russian before ordering with these guys :)

Had no experience with them though, but they seem friendly. @Profforg did you have bad experience with them?

Seems not a bad, nice looking control panel. They offer VPS for one hour for pennies, reload 50 Rubles and start

    VPS are limited to 40mbps.

Мы ограничиваем пропускную способность канала до 40МБ/сек., но предоставляем безлимитный трафик в рамках использования выделенной полосы пропускания.

  • Yep that right. Just about flexible billing and nice control panel. Overall VPS runs smoothly DC located in St.Petersburg

  • vscale & simplecloud look nice.

Russia is not an isolated country. Plenty of MLATs had been signed with many nations around the world. You would need to clarify from who are you expecting such "requests" and what kind of content are you intending to host or transmit.

And a public forum is probably not the best place to ask, too.

That's fine, its not for anything illegal. I just expect an host to be serious and not give away everything he has on file because some forum user added to a forum message a link to copyrighted material (as it happens a lot and some hosts don't like that much nowadays) user generated content is no problem if your name is google or facebook, if it's a small website and you didn't choose well enough your host it's not the same story.

I felt like Russia was somewhat lenient on that, and felt like it could be a nice place to host as it's close to EU. But I might be mistaken.

No serious host would do that. In many places is illegal to do so.

    scy said: user generated content

Generalizing, Russia is not the best place to host user generated content.

scy said: I felt like Russia was somewhat lenient on that

Again, depending on which content. For example, copyright is not a big problem for many ISPs, but free speech, drug or porn related content are a very different story.

  • Nyr said: Russia is not an isolated country

Can you describe about isolated country? Examples?

fitvpn said: Can you describe about isolated country? Examples?

    Completely, obviously none.

Politically and economically from a very significant part of the world? North Korea, Iran, Sudan, Syria, even Belarus...

  • +1 for vStoike - been with them for ~9 months. Periodically see some network blips from my monitoring, but every manual check shows it still online.
