IANA allocates more space

jbilohjbiloh Administrator, Veteran

Today IANA gave out more space. ARIN received a /14, of which all has already been exhausted by only a few allocations that were in the waiting list. Here is the quote from ARIN's website:

Posted: Wednesday, 02 September 2015

On 1 September 2015, ARIN received a total of /14 of IPv4 address space (one /15 block and two /16 blocks) from the IANA in accordance with the Global Policy for Post Exhaustion IPv4 Allocation Mechanisms by the IANA. The full text of that policy is available at:

https://www.icann.org/en/resources/policy/global-addressing/allocation-ipv4-post-exhaustion

As a result of this distribution from the IANA, ARIN was able to fulfill thirteen requests on the Waiting List for Unmet Requests. The organizations associated with these requests have received notice that they are approved to receive IPv4 address space as a result. The ARIN IPv4 Waiting List page will reflect these changes by tomorrow morning. The ARIN IPv4 Waiting List may be found at: https://www.arin.net/resources/request/waiting_list.html#report
