http://availability.ovh or some KS scripts from github helped me a lot
Check this out:

There's one of the popular KS3 available right now
@nexusrain , if you have a ks-3 and is idling would you still keep it?
"take it off your hands" sounds like this all over again: http://www.lowendtalk.com/discussion/55089/have-you-grown-tired-of-being-a-web-host
@jh no, I would like to buy a KS-1 from someone and will pay top dollar!
@nexusrain bizarre, the KS-1 is a D425 in Canada. Didn't realize the model differed per region. I would accept the N2800, though.
Some people have a bigger drive when they order a KS2 - does that happen only with KS2 or sometimes KS1 gets delivered with a 1TB HDD?
It means they're out of stock of 1TB drives, not that they're feeling generous and want to upgrade everyone.
Well, if they sometime are out of stock or 1TB drives, why wouldn't be out of stock of 500GB ones?
That happens quite a bit with KS2 orders (mine included).
It works out to a sweet price-per-gb for an additional backup mirror/private media hoarder.
I've yet to see any report of a KS-1 getting that 'surprise'. I just assume it doesn't , until evidence to the contrary shows up.
@ben78 dunno about other regions re: specs, but this is what I was looking at:
You're looking at the US page. The UK page has an Atom™ N2800 for the KS-1.

Eh, normally no? But I don't have anything from Kimsufi right now, just noticed that a KS3 is available right now which is normally sold out as well.
@HostNun As you can see, my screenshot is from the french site. But yep, if the KS1 on the CA site is with a D425.. That's not such a good deal imo.
I ordered a KS3 and got a 2TB drive instead of a 1TB Drive.
2TB is standard for KS3.
I have about 10 of the KS-1 in use, great for a variety of things.
http://www.kimsufi.com/us/en/ says 1TB Drive, lol.
Its standard on the UK site with the Core™ i5-750 processor and 16 gigs of RAM
I believe it differs depending on location
My ks3 in Canada was delivered with a 2TB drive. They have different configurations for different locations.
I ordered a KS-4 that originally came with a 1TB drive (as advertised for US Kimsufi in BHS). Had an issue with it at some point, 15 minutes later I received an email from onsite engineers/support that the drive was replaced for being defective, ended up with a 2TB drive.
Yeah, they are quite generous when they run out. A few months ago I ordered a KS-3 on the UK site and got an Intel i5-3570S which is much better than the Intel i5-750 as advertised.
Seems like the KS1 is always a KS1 though, drive is 500GB always (from comments here & search)
@nexusrain true, Canadian KS-1 seems like a shitty deal.
@ben78 yeah, looks like it, although HDD doesn't matter here. 500GB is already way too much for my needs anyway. I would get a VPS with 20GB, but I wanted a dedi.
I won't be checking this thread after today, [email protected] if you want to reach out.
