The reason for this choice is simple: threads didn't work.
I've asked for constructive feedback in the past but most of that I got was "ban host X" or "user X is an idiot" or "make ColoCrossing go away". Hopefully the extra step it takes to go to GitHub will prevent most of that spam.
In addition to that, the GitHub tracking system makes it easier to track issues and separate them. It also gives a proper overview of the status of things and makes them transparent in a better way.

Sometimes Lowendtalk.com throws cloudflare 522 error....but on refresh loads fine...I wonder why?

Yeah theres been some attacks.
i did get a server cant connect and bad gateway from cloudflare when i first signed up, but those errors no longer there

Pretty much every time I try to edit a reply I made I end up half way through my editing getting a 522 from Cloudflare. I have to then copy my response, refresh the page and re-edit the reply and then if I am lucky it will update.
This also happens quite regularly when just trying to view threads as of the past several days.
So this definitely needs reviewed a bit more @jbiloh !
Edit: just FYI this is also affecting notifications, for the past week or so notifications have been completely hit or miss. I will get thanked and never get a notification but go back to the thread and see I have been thanked. This happens quite often.

I'm getting 522 since two weeks ago and I'm still getting it. LET used to be fast loading now it takes 30 secs to get a 522 error. Maybe it's time to take action for the ddos (if that is the cause), it's been happening for too long time.
Using operamini fails opening let/leb with clouflare browser check. Please fix.
losing interest in let cause of 522 error. 8 out of 10 times i get 522 error. please move to incapsula or something else for ddos protection.

singapore cloudflare cant connect to LET
since 24hours ago, I'm gonna say it stable enough,... 1/10 is down,...
5/10 is down for last 48hours,...
Fix your cluster, this isn't a DDoS, it's one server in the cluster acting up.
If every 3rd page-load is superfast and the others give 522 errors, then it's certainly not a DDoS.
More 522's.

Things are running fine here @ Portugal.
I haven't had any issues recently.
I think this is fixed. Please let me know how it looks on your end. Settings were a bit too sensitive on the DDOS protection.
