low end stock images designes

Is there anything where we can get really cheap but quality stock images and illustrations , fotolia is good but anything cheaper and better ? I am not a heavy user of images, these sites provide cheaper images if you are bulk buyer but I randomly need them.. so anything where we can buy cheaper images without looking for bulk deal.. ?

Depending on what your needs are, you might want to look into Getty Images. They allow embedding of a lot (most?) of their stock photos. Watermarked (quite unobtrusive) and not available in high resolution, though.

You can crawl its main site with Xenu for example, sort the links you get, filter out non-download links and you have a list of clean images to download with something like wget or jdownload.

I did that last time, got around 3000 images.
