Is there any storage service (which can support rsync, scp) cheaper than $2/mo.?
Im asking because i know there are cheap storages like Backblaze.com who offers unlimited storage for $5 so thinking if there is anything similar which supports rsync/scp.

Thank you

You can store unlimited amounts of data for free in the NSA cloud. Upload is super easy, no installation required, but downloading is kinda meh.

  • If you pay annually or biennually, time4vps is even cheaper (1.49 €/m and 0.99 €/m for 0.5 TB)

You're going to struggle to beat that for price and flexibility.

It seems to be pretty good so far. They offer money back in 30 days so it doesn't hurt to give them a try.

Is it like a regular OpenVZ VM? They say that

Every new Storage Server activated instantly and ready to use with our unique "Filer" OS template.

I'm not sure what that means.

All Storage Servers is activated with pre-installed special OS template - "Filer (CentOS 6, Rsync, FTP, Samba) (64-bit)".

Take a note, that default folder for data storage in the Storage Server is /home/storage.

"Filer" OS template have pre-installed services and tools like:

    Rsync tool
    FTP (vsFTPd) service
    Samba (smbclient, smbd) service

Yes, it's just a standard vps with the following OS available:

Currently moving my data off of my Kimsufi to a Time4VPS storage VPS and the overall performance is pretty good right now!
I was also pleasantly surprised by their very well integrated WHCMS and its features.
If they can keep their current service quality up, I would dare to say they are one of the best providers for OVZ storage solutions out there. Time will tell!
