I think the new owners are keeping a very tight watch over who is paying for what after the last "bug"...
Well, there is a genuine need for it on WHT, especially the mod/admin team. If @jmckeag12 is right it's a legitimate advertising opportunity, so maybe there will be a resurgence.

think they run spam o matic plugin (plugins are listed on home just after update) :
stopforumspam and akismet can be enabled for registration and first X number of post of any new user
and also stops some of this words by default

I won't disclose my source but I don't see what is awkward. perhaps as I said to someone else WHT must have sorted it all out. I'm not going to post something on here if it is not true. As that is just a stupid thing to do.
