No Torrrent, No IPv6. Adult,VPN,IRC allowed.

  • imagehost allowed ?

  • Anything legal is allowed besides torrents.

  • @UGVPS do you allow torrents for public ISOs like Debian, WoW Patches, etc?

  • Nice offer. Thanks

  • aww no yearly price -.-'
    any ETA on ipv6?

  • I wish I still have unused ballance in my Paypal.

  • No ETA on IPv6 in Chicago yet, still waiting, NC was quoted by the end of this year and UK already has IPv6. If we get good turn out on this i will go West cost this month and ill pick a provider that already has IPv6 setup for everyone.

  • Maybe Santa bring a good deal for the West coast location next month ;)

  • How much cPanel license for VPS?

  • @UGVPS can you respond to: " @UGVPS do you allow torrents for public ISOs like Debian, WoW Patches, etc? "

    Thanks.

No torrents, legal or not. @Dean if you want a vps cpanel license and you want it all in one bill i can do that. it would be about 20 bucks a month or so( that includes the VPS). I dont have many cpanel licenses so my cost isnt very low yet.

  • Thanks, will keep it in mind.

http://tunnelbroker.net/ - Free IPv6 tunnels with a /64 assigned, /48 on request. Many locations as well. May take an hour or so for an admin to setup, but makes any location IPv6 capable. Once the /64 is routed on the server, you can generate & assign IPs from SolusVM.

  • This is a good offer Crystal.

My only gripe here is and others certainly are thinking the same that the offer is on Colocrossing.

Like the network, but question why every other VPS provider here is using Colocrossing. Do they have a start your own VPS franchise in a box or something?

  • @Kris im signing up for that right now.. If i can get done i will update this thread and offer ipv6 :)

  • pubcrawler: Not that i know about... I got an awesome offer i couldnt refuse. It was a toss up between chicago and dallas. The reason i didn't take another DC in Chicago is because i talked to Jeremiah a lot on IRC. I used to have services in CVPS and knew the network is solid. I like to go with what is proven and not some shot in the dark.

  • We don't use CC! lol! looking into tunnelbroker.

  • @UGVPS said: @Kris im signing up for that right now.. If i can get done i will update this thread and offer ipv6 :)

Not for the faint of heart, but I used : http://www.tunnelbroker.net/forums/index.php?topic=152.0 with success.

I also found using /etc/sysconfig/static-routes-ipv6 works well, as mentioned in the thread. Good luck!

  • @Kris, does this require a reboot :-X

  • @UGVPS said: @Kris, does this require a reboot :-X

No. Only hardware & kernel upgrades really require such.

  • I didnt think so i just wanted to be sure.. it seemed to "simple" heh

  • Good info @Kris.

Hoping more folks get IPV6 enabled. IP exhaustion and change over seems like it will be this year.
