Yes, our lawyer was wrong in that case - If you want i have the documents here, signed and ratified by a lawyer from Cluj-Napoca (German though).

Does not change though that Adult is illegal in Iceland:

As expected porn also seems to be illegal in Ukraine:

We can offer you hosting in europe location, the netherlands, shared hosting to start with and growing up to a dedicated server in furture. We not suspend any user without first contacting the customer, we protect our customers and will never provide any details to anyone. Adult is allowed in The Netherlands. (as long as its not child or animal)

    Our packages are here: http://www.hostingking.com/cloud-hosting/

Except law enforcement, I assume. Like any other serious business, so nothing special.

Most companies are directly scared for law enforcement and directly provide details. We try to handle it a different way and try to make sure the law enforcement won't go legal and we didn't provide any customer details.

Hi. If you have just one or few domains and traffic is more than 10K daily visitors - i can host you in Europe. Adult and near any abusive content is fine (using multiple solid proxies, with very little performance penalty).

    Good.

I am not a judge. People are free to host any content they want. That's what free speech means.

You should probably ask a lawyer about this, because you are very wrong.

Indeed, however, laws must be followed, this is why, when governments infringe on free speech, the answer is not to break the laws they make while landing other people in trouble, instead you can go fully underground and host the content in truly protected and untraceable systems (as far as humanly possible).
You either take to the streets and at the ballot box this battle, or underground. As long as it is encrypted and stored on someone else's own computer in an untraceable form, then it is private correspondence and a warrant IS required, no matter what the ISPs can be bullied into.

How can you make sure that they won't "go legal" as you call it? I mean if a crap company ask you for customer detail, you discard it - fine. But then if that company has some power and gets a court order (say.. brein) then what can you do? Nothing?

How would you handle that kind of situation?

First of all, it's pretty weird that the Netherlands (which is known for being pretty lenient on internet content) banned bestiality / zoophilia. It is still legal in several countries.

Secondly, how do you define child adult content? I have seen nudist websites, that feature nude children and appear in Google image search, hosted in the Netherlands (hosted by Serverius Holding B.V ). According to Wikipedia, the age of consent in the Netherlands is 16, so does that mean that porn containing people over 16 is allowed? Also, do you allow lolicon (Japanese erotic drawings with underage characters)?

Highly doubt it. Age of consent means the age where sexual relationships with adults are legal as long as they are consented by the parts. This doesn't mean possessing/distributing recordings where minors appear is legal.

Panama supports Freedom of Speech ;)

No it doesn't. Its between free and unfree. The united states has more broad free speech than Panama.

  • I don't understand why anyone would want to host "illegal" material, like child porn and such.

It's not only "illegal", but fucking disgusting, too. I consider children under 13. Children around 13 and older are fucking each other in the UK, no secret and I consider them teenagers. But still wouldn't watch any porn of teenagers of this age. Even the idea is strange.
