Thx concerto49, i have sent them an email now
+1 for root.lu/server.lu, just make sure you order the biggest IP block at the very first time. since they can't do multiple IP block for the same client/customer.
UK:
http://www.redstation.com/
Poland - NEPHAX, Austria - EDIS
root.lu looks good, might get a dedi from them
server.lu only do one IP block even if i have multiple servers? and even if i add new servers after? @Mon5t3r
@zafouhar yep, that what they said to me a year ago. i have one server with them, and i need to change all my current ip (/27 block) if i want a bigger block (even for my additional server), that would hurt my clients thought.
go here https://www.server.lu/configure/is2k for example, and you'll noticed this "or chose to get your own dedicated VLAN: (1 per customer)" in IP Addresses section.
Depends on the budget and the requirements.
If you have a huge one go with Equinix.
Ive been working with Swiftway ; http://swiftway.co.uk/
They provide a decent service.
No good experience with budget colocation such as Voxility, FDCServers in Zlin, Root.lu and some .fr hosts.
Thk @pubcrawler i have sent them an email now.
Thx @gbshouse, i have sent NEPHAX an email as well. I already contacted Edis and they cannot give more than 16 IP's.
I contacted Equinix yesterday and i await their response @jaakka
@zafouhar - get own /24 space from third party
That's strange, i always thought EDIS had stacks of IP addresses.
You're better off going through a provider with racks in Equinix, going directly will be costly and im not even sure they do 1U colo.
Equinix will only do full cabs. Go with someone in one of their facilities if you want less
Thought so.
I'm already in communication to get a /22 from a company in the UK @gbshouse - i've checked RIPE as well but it doesn't seem they give IP's to new Providers.
Well, @GetKVM_Ash i am asking the price for 1U just as a starter price and to start the conversation - my actual needs are at least 10U to start with expandable to 42U within 6 months.
@zafouhar - you can become RIPE member and get own /22, or you can lease /24 from third party. It's not possible to get PI space anymore (at least from RIPE). Ask your DC for PA space
I will follow up on RIPE as well then, can they also give more than a /22? @gbshouse
Ask @william or @rds100 they are experts regarding RIPE
Ok
I suggest hetzner.de. I think they give /27 block for every server.
No.
RIPE is on the last /8, any LIR only gets one /22, not more. And this /22 ONLY when you have a v6 allocation from your DC, Colo, Upstreamn or RIPE itself.
Ok thx for the explanation @William
