I'm using MTPuttY on Windows and it has import/export feature.

For Windows and OSX support you could try royal ts, it saves connection data in documents that you can sync between your devices.

It's available for Windows: http://www.royalapplications.com/ts/win/features and for OSX: http://www.royalapplications.com/ts/osx/features

Why not use SSH with certs and create a tiny script with all hosts? Maybe you combine this with a(ny) cloud service to keep this script (list of hosts) sync? With SSH certs you don't have to remember passwords and its even safer!

Would someone please explain what "export/import" means in this context?

Exporting/Importing a list of servers. I do this using registry keys with PuTTY to make sure all of my workstations have the same info (same servers, same IPs/Ports, same settings, etc...).

I achieved this some time ago with a simple bash script lying in my Google Drive and as soon as it gets executed it saves the current configuration also into my Drive - after just one click it is "synchronized" with the settings on my other machine.

And: +1 for SecureCRT ( https://www.vandyke.com/products/securecrt/ ), which should work across the operating systems.
And if in any case you are already using MobaXterm: It can import SCRTs settings.

@Bochi very cool! My setup takes 2 clicks (1 to save, 1 to restore), there's always multiple ways to do things when it comes to computers. :)

Can also highly recommend Royal TS. Support is very fast and friendly and whenever I got an issue (I always use the beta branch, it's stable enough), it was fixed in a very short time, sometimes less than a day.

Support? Why would one need support, for a ssh client?

  • You dont need to go after another client, if you use it only on Windows. For putty, do:

    regedit /e "putty-sessions.reg" HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\SimonTatham\PuTTY\Sessions

And of course, for importing, you just click on the .reg file. Put this in a batch script, add a shortcut to it in your Startup folder. Give the path to your Dropbox, for the .reg. Voila, you have a sync for your putty data. Btw, Winscp has an option to import and export putty data.

When there's a bug, you'll be more than happy if the product is actively developed. Same goes for feature requests, they've added already a few things I suggested.
