Hi i would like to sync my windows computers to my linux server.
Does anyone know how can i sync my computers to linux server?
I want to sync my data on a samba server
I use FreeFileSync - http://sourceforge.net/projects/freefilesync/
Use cwrsync, which is a Windows implementation of rsync. Samba is not needed. You can write a one-line script to quickly sync to the server.
using cwrsync here too. Works fine
if you do backup in the local network, then it is as simple as configuring rsyncd on your server
# cat /etc/rsyncd.conf
lock file = /var/lock/rsyncd.lock
path = /backups
comment = rsync backup server
list = yes
uid = nobody
gid = nogroup
read only = no
hosts allow = 192.168.10.0/255.255.255.0
and use rsync client on windows ( I use deltacopy, together with utf8-enabled cygwin1.dll http://www.oki-osk.jp/esc/utf8-cygwin/)
I do the same as Dannix and it works great. I did replace the dlls from the default DeltaCopy installation with the dlls from the latest cygwin release.

Great job responding to a 7 year old thread as a first post. 4 more until a tag!
This place just isn't the same; You know where to find me if you want me.
