Can I configuring the IP address of a RPi without actually having an RPi?

I am kind of lost here, I thought I could somehow do it but I might be wrong....

Anyone could help?

    Mmmm....Do I need a Linux machine to do the work?

  • If you're using Debian, you just need to set the IP address information in the card's /etc/network/interfaces file.

    Except I do not have access at a RPi at the moment, just a Windows 7 laptop :)

  • luckily I still have a Tonidoplug which is running Linux! Problem solved!
