WHMCS Module for SolusVM Reseller

Hello,
How do we use the SolusVM Module for resellers? The Guide on solusVM docs is empty and we have a reseller who wants to automate the VPS Creation. How would a reseller use this module.
Thanks, Jacob

  • There is a reseller dropdown in the product creation section under modules, but I've never attempted to use it.

I know what you're talking about

Ive used a SolusVM reseller account before and it was nice. Except, there is no automation for resellers. You have to MANUALLY create each VPS and type in exactly how many resources each VPS gets.

To answer your question @ChairHosting I do not know of a module to let resellers automatically create VPS.

  • Hello,
There is indeed a dropdown, however some boxes have 404 not found such as Default Node & etc.

    It doesn't work though.
I just attempted to use it, and poof, nothing happens.
Can't specify the RAM, etc, so how would auto setup work?

Note: I can't believe resellers still can't modify resources on existing VPS servers.

Agreed. SolusVM should've had that added a while ago IMO

It would give companies a lot easier way of offering Reseller Packages.

  • Virtualizor's reseller module works

    Thanked by 1FlamesRunner
  • Yea, Im not willing to switch from SolusVM to Virtualizor just for this.

  • Does anyone know who made a reseller module yet? Or do I really need to spend $300 hiring a freelancer...

Because Virtualizor had end users, resellers and administrators in mind. SolusVM, well, cares about two things. Profit and barely functional reseller control panels.

Edit: Oh, and if you hire a freelancer, send SolusVM the module so they can finally get encouragement.

  • Yea I guess thats my best option isnt it....

  • Might be worth @solusvm chiming in around now...

I would love to see how far those 300 USD will get you. :)

This won't be an issue in v2 as it all works through the layered API using a 'rights' system.

To give you an idea if you have the correct rights to create a user on the system:

Then you would create a vm if you have the vm_create rights and so on....

  • That... Is one heck of a nice interface.
    I can't wait for V2 now :)

    That's only the docs!

  • One last comment: Will there be the ability to choose our IP addresses for clients as resellers? Also, will there be plan creation features for resellers?

@SolusVM Any chance of a Windows 2012 R2 template for KVM?

    (Sorry for going offtopic)

Ok let's not use the word reseller, maybe 'resource user' but nothing with the word cloud in it :)

But yes, you will have features like that.

Guess a missed quite a bit last night... Another question came up, will V2 change the API System? I might as well give up on hiring someone if I need to do it again for v2. Also, it would be nice if you guys can get the WHMCS Module for resellers working again.
    Thanks, Jacob

  • @SolusVM

Will you support Ubuntu 14.04 - 15.04 for KVM in the future?

Will you support custom storage configurations?

Will you have a migrate tool to migrate from Virtualizor to SolusVM?

You should contact solusVM Directly on that.

Yes the API has changed. The screenshot above gives you an example what it's like.

V2 currently runs alongside V1 so you have a migration path :)

Yes we will be supporting the OnApp templates.

You will have storage options multi lvm, disk images etc..

We will at least prepare a guide to start with in regards to migration and dedicate part of the team when it comes to it.

I'm talking about for the Hypervisor server to be able to support Ubuntu 14.04

  • SolusVMSolusVM Member, Host Rep

Through deb packages maybe. We have obviously concentrated on RHEL but the system is based on placeholders so it can support multiple distro types.

Can you guys make the module this time...

It would definitely be nice to see this module actually come into fruition

  • @SolusVM, when will V2 come out? It'd be nice to have a better API.
It's been torture attempting to work with the V1 API :/

    Agree with you pal

But it's an issue right now, what is the fix?
