idrac6 not pinging

Im running Dell PE R510. i have config correct the network on idrac6 but still not pinging. How can i get online?

  • What is the network port status? Is the port actually connected?

    You may need to contact your datacentre to confirm they have connected it.

    @MarkTurner yes, they have connected it. I set lan to Shared. That is correct?

    Don't think shared is correct, that usually means its shared with the LAN port on the host....

    @bohdans so what type lan is correct? also can share me tutorial config idrac6?

    sorry, only really worked with iLO myself, but I know on iLO
    Shared uses same physical LAN port as the normal LAN
    Dedicated uses the iLO port
    I am assuming the Dell stuff is the same. You may need a KVMoIP if you can not log into the management interface any more.

    The config network have correct?

    [root@node-lax1 ~]# ipmitool delloem lan get
    dedicated
    [root@node-lax1 ~]# ipmitool delloem lan get active
    
    None

    @jazz1611 Try switching it to DHCP, then back to static, and re-entering the IP address.
