HP DL380 G6 firmware update DVD or at least P410i firmware?
Anyone got a direct link to the HP DL380 G6 firmware update DVD or at minimum just the HP P410i RAID controller firmware that I can load onto a USB stick and boot from then install?
Wasting time here trying to freaking find this firmware, HP's site requires login and server reg. with warranty and/or support contract....

Entitlement is required these days. You maybe able to get it for free but you still have to go through the registration process. Failing that you need to take a basic support contract and then they'll enable downloads for that server type.
Supermicro is King of Kings -- why do HP and Dell have to be so slow and shitty. Argh.
It's the Smart Update ISO you want/need?
Until you worked with HP Gen8 servers you haven't experienced slow boots. It doesn't matter how fast the OS boots when the hardware takes an hour to run its hardware tests.
With the direct link the ISO is still downloadable without an account
HP Service Pack for ProLiant 2015.04.0
I spent probably 5x (at minimum) the amount of time that I actually spent doing ANYTHING, just waiting for the bootups... nuts.
I can confirm this. Gen8 and Gen9 Proliants are slow as shit when booting.
HP Service Pack for ProLiant 2015.06.0
I can confirm this also. But the ILO4 is awesome
Dell at least does not require a support contract to download... Updated firmware...
Not buying HP since the iLO issue we had that was attended a dozen times by HP, always replacing the mobo, iLO always dying within two weeks, requiring server reboot to get back on track. Never again.
