Onedrive and symbolic links on OS X

NekkiNekki Veteran

Has anyone had any luck with getting OneDrive to work with symbolic links on OS X? They seem to work fine with the Dropbox OS X client, but OneDrive appears to completely ignore them.

if you reverse your links it may work. i mean the actual files are under the onedrive sync.dir and you access them from another dir that contains the sym.links.

That's far from ideal, due to the locations of all the files I'm looking to sync. If I can't make it work without regular symlinks then I'll probably have to throw a few quid at Hubic or Dropbox as their sync clients appear to work flawlessly. Thanks for the suggestion though.

    You could try this add-on.

Ah, not as good as I thought. It doesn't actually create a symbolic link as the blurb suggests, it's just mirroring the files to the OneDrive folder, which is totally shit and defeats the point.
