    Hi,

You won't find anything in the low-end price with DDoS-Guard!

@century1stop - Their offers are roughly $200+ for a virtual private server with DDoS protection in Netherlands.

  • @deployvm oh I see o.O

and he expects to get it for $20 from a reseller, here?

  • What's wrong with http://ramnode.com - @NickA for NL?
    OVH in France?
    Or even buyvm for LU?

    A lot cheaper than $200.

The kind of content they allow.

There's a reason for that, ddos-guard aren't in the mass market over subscribing the protection at low prices. Ever more so, I believe someone posted here they host some shady clients so the more reason to have really good filtering.

From what I've heard when DDoS-Guard advertise XXX Gbps, they will actually mitigate that for clients. From OVH etc they will null your server as far as I know even though before it hits 100 even though they advertise 500+ which of course is all marketing.

  • If you want protection and leniency concerning nearly all laws... you're going to have to pay the price for it. Simple as that.

  • Pretty useless anti-ddos service to be honest.

I can't even access their website. Getting this message with every browser: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS

  • $20 a month for the specs I am asking for is worth it. Its $500 for the MEDIUS NEW plan which is the dedicated server. I am not asking for insane specs. Just enough to host a website.

There's hosts that offer this much cheaper so why especially DDoS-Guard and what exactly are you putting on this site.

$20 for a piece of a server that costs '$500' isn't a worthwhile investment for them and definitely not LOW-END material. You need a bigger budget or have other ideas such as another company if you want to spend $20/m

Lets face it, you've got to annoy someone pretty badly to get XXX Gbps worth of aggressive traffic. I'd imagine most companies to null something over 100Gbps or anything close, most companies would make sure not to allow something to get close as it wouldn't be fair to other users.

Or be in a highly competitive, criminal market.

  • My budget is now $30. I have seen ddos-guard in action and I really liked what I saw.

  • Even 50 is not going to cut it..

If thats the case and I cannot find anyone, I will just purchase their http proxy for $80 and call it a day.

You still don't said what you basically need. DDoS protected webhosting? VPS? Proxy?

I have nothing with ddos-guard, but if you need ddos protection, i can help. I can offer a HTTP proxy for you with full protection from bot's (if you will be target by professionals, it can bypassed, but only temporary, full forever protection bypassing is not possible) and requests filtering (limit per second/minute). On protection - limits very hard to reach (if i'll fail to protect you for a long time, i can refund). On clean traffic - 100 mbps maximum throughput (after that, shaping will be applied). As you think ddos-guard's 80$ plan is OK for you - you'll definitely fit with this bandwidth limit. Same specs as ddos-guard's 80$ plan (5000 visitors daily, 1 domain) - i can offer you for 20$. If you can give me more information about your website, i can configure filter better. Please note, that my protection is not mass service, and that's why i don't "sell it" usually. It's not ideal (as most other solutions, however), and i am still developing it, but it can defend your websites properly. Popular search engines are whitelisted, so they can reach your website; custom whitelists are available. Can give you 3 days free test, you can test any attack you want.
