Pretty great price @key900. Very tempting.

  • @key900, Sentris have several buckets of bandwidth mix, which one are you using? or you have your own bandwidth mix?

  • Can't say I'm a fan of the network so far.. I went with the 10TB @ 1Gbps option:

    root@sea2:~# ./bench.sh
    CPU model : Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5520 @ 2.27GHz
    Number of cores : 16
    CPU frequency : 2266.601 MHz
Total amount of ram : 24098 MB
Total amount of swap : 3810 MB
    System uptime : 12 days, 12:31,
    Download speed from CacheFly: 30.4MB/s
Download speed from Coloat, Atlanta GA: 4.33MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Dallas, TX: 4.91MB/s
Download speed from Linode, Tokyo, JP: 2.74MB/s
Download speed from i3d.net, Rotterdam, NL: 2.92MB/s
Download speed from Leaseweb, Haarlem, NL: 4.68MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Singapore: 2.51MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Seattle, WA: 50.0MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, San Jose, CA: 5.08MB/s
Download speed from Softlayer, Washington, DC: 3.74MB/s
    I/O speed : 123 MB/s

Anything outside of Seattle is just.. blah. at least on download. Upload is decent, ~150Mbps upload to most of my other boxes in North America.

Their support has been super helpful though and escalated stuff to the DC staff, and when they ran test files they were getting the same crappy results. They've moved me to another switch and gone out of their way to test stuff for me, which I appreciate.

I already have a box on 100Mbps in Seattle and was really hoping for a good lower-end dedi with decent Gigabit to host a few things. I haven't made up my mind on whether or not I'm staying, still got a couple more weeks.

If you're thinking of buying do it for the unmetered 100Mbps - you're not going to get speeds much better than that with the limited Gigabit option

    Thanked by 1earl
  • Good offer,already have one server with them,fast support,recommanded!

After looking at @mikeyur's result, I'm going to have to pass :(

  • Lucky for me, I read the ToS before making purchase.

It's jut my personal opinion, but it seems like your ToS is kind of "everything is customer's fault, and we will keep all the money anyway"

IMPORTANT: If you have any subscription setup in Paypal or 2Checkout, make sure you login to your Paypal or 2Checkout and cancel that or can contact us, if not, Paypal or 2Checkout will keep sending us payment every month. And when they do, can only be added as credit towards the account and cannot be refunded.

  • Hmm something wrong with javascript, I can't edit previous comment, so paste here and it's easier to read

  • @key900 I haven't purchased yet. But after reading your ToS I decided not to purchase. It's not the win-win relationship.

i'm understand your concern, i will looking into this with DC staff but the 100mbps is quite nice
