As a fellow cloud enthusiast, I'm glad you've taken it upon yourself to build a global infrastructure to service Clouds and Very Pretty Skies. I've been dying to get my hands on one, but they're just so damn hard to hold on to.
Now, down to the nitty-gritty:
How much for a Cumulonimbus calvus?
What qualities do you price on (height, appearance, or maybe the liquid water content)?
How would you ensure the cloud stays in my possession for the duration of payment?

Unfortunately we are all out of those, but maybe we can sell you two cumulus mediocris and you load balance them ?
We prefer to qualify it by hue, the bluer it looks, the pricier it gets, as it keep the sky nice and uncluttered !
Thats a trade secret, but lets just say we have this new patent pending tech where we lock it inside a transparent balloon, no no escape is possible and reduces the risk of contaminants.

How much input do players like SoftLayer have in the service you deliver - do you just rent/colo hardware or does the relationship extend further than that?

The currently tracking of bandwidth is not on the CP just yet, we do track it and will make it public to the user soon.
The providers run their own OnApp clouds, so quite allot of input and co-operation with every one.
