SUPERMICRO ipmi card is first powered system waits for its initialization

shovenoseshovenose Member, Host Rep
edited April 2015 in General

Server was properly shut down using CentOS. When booting back up, we can't boot or enter BIOS past this error: "ipmi card is first powered system waits for its initialization"

http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon1333/5000V/X7DVL-E.cfm

Any suggestions? Thanks!

How long you have waited? It could take a couple of minutes for SIMLC card to wake up.
