US based providers - location question

As non-US I've noticed that there are not many providers from north-central part of US (for ex. MT, ND). Is there any specific reason?

Seems to be less good datacenters that don't over charge. Doesn't mean they aren't there but they may not be as well known.

  • @gbshouse Nobody lives over there, what's why.

  • They're simply less populated areas. No real benefit of putting servers in those states. I'm sure power is more expensive, not as many internet carriers. Plus overall latency would be higher considering how far away the general population is.

  • High Tech Haven on the West Coast for sure... Parts of the East Coast as well... Buy yeah the big DC's are pretty much West or East
