SolusVM Support?

Has anybody else had experience with SolusVM support recently?

I installed SSL on my SolusVM install and I was trying to redirect http to https using their wiki guide. It didn't seem to be working so I submitted a ticket to support.

This is the message I sent them:

Hello,

I've followed a guide on your wiki for redirecting non-SSL (http) to SSL (https). I've followed the guide but I can't get it to redirect.
Any ideas?

The guide I followed was: http://wiki.solusvm.com/index.php/Redirect_HTTP_to_HTTPS

Thanks,
Dominic

I got a response basically saying check that I've got mod_rewrite enabled and the right lines at the bottom of the file. I indicated that I'd done that. Then I got a reply asking for me to provide admin log in details and to add their SSH key which I did.

I then got provided with a link (which is nothing to do with what I asked) to installing an SSL certificate: http://wiki.solusvm.com/Installing_an_SSL_Certificate

I'd already done this and it was working fine. It was the redirect that wasn't working. They logged in and did something and replied with this:

Hi,

can you please have a try by now by installing the ssl and also please have a check with ssl key and also mention the exact path in the lighttpd configuration file.

Thanks.

I took a look, and they had restored the Lighttpd config back to default (with the ports on 5353 instead of 80) and completely removed the SSL certificate. They then told me to re install the SSL when it was already working fine

Has anybody else had an experience like this?
