I am sorry for your bad experience you are facing this is because of Secure http in the url.We are working on a much better design which is coming out soon and till then we are stuck with it unfortunately.

You can avoid this by using by using normal http url for main site although their is no such issue in our client portal it is just for html site which will be replaced soon.

Yes you can install windows but you will have to use your own license or trial license at the moment.
