OVZ Memory usage?
Hello,
Does anyone know why the KiwiVM OpenVZ panel shows almost full ram usage while the VPS itself shows only 40MB of the 1024MB? what value do i have to trust here? im used to XEN and KVM machines, this virtualization is a bit new to me.

Any clarification would be much appreciated!

New to Linux?
KiwiVM also counts cached memory.
Hi,
Yes, well not totally.. but im not too familiar with linux.
Thank you for clearing this up! so euhm.. linux caches memory alot? why is that - wouldnt that prevent newly spawned programs from using it?
Windows also cache's a lot, it just doesn't show it in the task manager. Currently my Windows laptop is using 2.4GB for file caching (basically like Linux is).
And for your question, I love this page: http://www.linuxatemyram.com/
