Need a tutorial to install WordPress on a VPS from scratch
Hello guys!
I have a VPS that I do not fully use and I since I just bought a .com domain I was quite interested in combining the two things.
Do you have/know any tutorial/how-to that would help me in building a webserver (with WordPress) on a VPS with Ubuntu 14.04 (server)?

apt-get install nginx mysql-server unzip cd PATH_TO_YOUR_NGINX_HTTP_ROOT wget https://wordpress.org/latest.zip unzip latest.zip mv wordpress/* .Create the database and setup wordpress via the setup wizard

@Traffic forgot to install php5-fpm and to enable it in nginx/vhost but yeh. That is basically it. Unless his OS does that automatically?

If you want to do that on Debian (i didn't test with ubuntu) you can use my script:

If you are use a debian for your server this is great tutorial from howtoforge :

and then you can try download source code wordpress and place it into your public_html folder. and install it. Voila! you have installed wordpress for your site.
