  • They're spammers. Have been sending the same email/ submitting the same ticket for a while. Ganna Sovgut is the, I hesitate to say, leader.

  • Those are the most common, they request almost the exact same server specifications each time as well as a large IP range.

    If you get a client related to SpeedyTelecom/PredictLabs/Ganna Sovgut, run, because they're going to spam the sh** out of your IPs.

    Does your ticket happen to look like this?

    They will ask you to invoice them via ticket, to fool MaxMind/fraud protection measures.

    Additionally, they will occasionally use USA data center IPs to bypass MaxMind.


    Final note: If you think the client is sketchy, trust your gut - it's probably right (make sure you run checks, I've had instances where clients would sign up from what MaxMind calls "high risk countries", and it would reject their order. Remember that MaxMind is not perfect, and it will always lack the one basic skill that is the most effective - common sense.
