Would a new Glype installation get blocked?

Can you run "dig lowendtalk.com TXT 8.8.8.8" and get a reply? If so DNS tunneling is the way out!

I tried nslookup lowendtalk.com 8.8.8.8 but got DNS request timeouts.

Got a small and easy solution that works for me.

On Google Chrome on Android go to Settings > Reduce Data Usage > On

It works as a proxy, all ports are unblocked.

Or for desktop, download the extension and enable it. 'A proxy from Google!'

Then just use a SSH client in your browser.

    Note: this worked for me.

Edit: here is my current ip from Google :)

This doesn't seem to be working as I need to proxy chain, firstly going through the proxy at the firewall.

DNS tunnel should actually still work, I just remembered you only need TXT dns requests to get through - even if they go through some internal DNS server.

It will be ultra slow if you go that route, I used it for a few months when I had no internet and it was 100kbps on a good day...

Still faster than EDGE :P lol

Aren't they getting rid of EDGE? 3G covers almost everywhere now between Telstra and Optus...

Probably, I struggle to get 3G in some places along the south coast (Wollongong) with Virgin, they run off Optus's equipment apparently. I don't see them ditching it completely, maybe in the city as it's more populated and has more up to date equipment/towers.

    http://cntlm.sourceforge.net/

You run cntlm as a service and configure it with your authentication credentials and tell it to proxy 1443 locally to 443 remotely. Then you can do something like 'ssh -p 1443 [email protected]'. For the windows ssh client, you could use cygwin or probably putty, etc.

cntlm works through typical Microsoft proxies and runs on your local Windows PC.

They are actually fully owned by optus. Tasmania has come a long way with coverage. It's getting better and better.

Ultrasurf is definitely blocked, as is TOR.
