  • Thanks bro. Signed up!

  • You get $50 infrastructure credits in your dev account each month for a year. The title is a bit misleading.. so..

    How are developer+ customers billed?

Customers in developer+ pay only for infrastructure they consume over $50 (30 GBP) per month for 12 months.

With the country number, but don't add "+".
    e.g.: 85212345678, HK

  • I did not sign up because its asking for CC details.

  • They gonna call you and ask several questions like how many servers do you need, the specs, what the server purpose, etc.

  • i also didn't sign up ....

Yeah, RackSpace calls every new account, even ones created normally without a promo or credit.

I completed signup and I called from skype, because I didn't receive phone call for verification. They asked me some question about the purposes I will use their services, some of the details I used to sign up and they activated my account. The stuff was really polite and the support phone answered in seconds! It last about 5 minutes and the promo of 50$ is really good (alhtough as you all know their service is definatelly not in LE* range). I want to see the differences from some of the reptutable providers here, that IMHO they offer an excellent service for the price range they have (of course, it is very different an unmanaged service from an one-man-show and a semi-managed service from a big company). The price is for a 1GB ram 1 cpu core 20GB disc cloud instance about 45$ per month. THey offer bigger and more complex infrastructure for much more, a variety of linux and windows o/s and they have 3 us points, london 1 AU and 1 asia points (although only the US, Asia and AU is available atm). Will post benchmark here.

  • For this developer+ account we can only deploy server in London DC. Correct me if I'm wrong.

  • @NanoG6 The opposite. You need seperate account to use London DC. And I do not think that will apply this account for the free credits

  • Update.
