I find it really hard to purchase Bitcoins - I'm located in EU and just want to buy some Bitcoins with a credit card. Is there any exchange that makes this process straightforward?
Gotta love how people tells you what you should or shouldn't do with your money. I don't think it's stupid, but if you are buying as an investment, this isn't maybe the best time.
Anyway, for europeans, Bitstamp it's a good option. Mt.Gox isn't a bad option either, but you will end up paying more commissions.
Did MtGox get hacked and a bunch of people lost their money? That really inspires confidence. I try to steer well clear of any financial scheme where one of the major players is called the "Magic the Gathering Online Exchange."

I'm not, just looking to try bitcoins out, pay for some services (VPS and similar online stuff). I'd just like to pay with a CC or Paypal, but it doesn't seem to be possible.

Don't. It's beyond retarded.

That's not possible because Bitcoin it's a payment system where transactions can't be reversed and CC or PayPal payments are subject to chargebacks.
@littleguy - how many are you after?
Like 50 EUR worth of bitcoins, which is about 5 BTC if I am correct?
