Catalyst Host - Denver, CO - Unmetered & High Bandwidth

edited August 2012 in Offers

We've expanded our Denver offering and upgraded our hardware. We will also be adding plans on a higher quality network in Lenoir, NC. Essentially your options are quantity or quality, although we will demand performance from our hardware in both locations. I do not want to mislead you about what I am offering. FDC Denver is not as bad as people make it out to be, but it also isn't perfect.

As always, you must agree to our Terms of Service: http://catalysthost.com/tosaup.php

We do not allow material considered illegal in the United States. The most important rule is this: Don't be a jerk.

Was going to go live with NC tonight but decided to mail in a new RAID controller. I'm done with mediocre performance and software/fake RAID are exiting my vocabulary. Even though the plan was never to put too many people per node, it just bothers me to do less than we can.

@fly Yeah, I really do like the idea of growing there.
@Kuro Ouch. I'll have a test IP soon but guessing you already know how that goes.

  • @jarland, why is it that everytime i visit your site it seems to freeze on me for a few minutes? dose the site has too much flash or somthing?

  • jarjar Patron Provider, Top Host, Veteran

@Randy I'm not sure. It works fine from all of my devices, and I avoid flash.

  • :o weird

  • @Randy it's bad karma, you have to 'clean' it in some way :)

  • Did you allow personal seedbox and more over is there any other payment option available.

You can try to add Google checkout.

You're more than welcome to use BitTorrent within reason. Excessive torrent downloads occurring at the same time can have quite an effect on disk I/O, so that would be what I mean by within reason. I of course ask that you keep the content legal, but I will not be policing it. If I start getting DMCA notices we may have to talk.

PayPal is the only payment gateway that we have cleared for the moment. Others are listed in an ongoing discussion that has been put on hold for now, so I can't say what will come of it or when.

  • Tor allowed?
Entry/Forward only, so never any abuse mails.
Does not need much IO but uses lots of BW and a bit CPU.

  • jarjar Patron Provider, Top Host, Veteran

@William Definitely ok with tor. It seems pretty balanced.

  • Can you do something like:

    512 / 512 vSwap
    2gb HDD
Unmetered 250Mbps (or even just 100)

At the 7$ plan? I dont need the HDD space or full Gbit to run Tor, but it could use a bit more RAM...
You'd support the Torproject with it... :p

  • jarjar Patron Provider, Top Host, Veteran

    @William
    You bet! :)

    2 CPU cores
    512mb RAM
    512mb vSwap
    5gb Storage
    Unmetered 250Mbps

    Thanked by 1William
  • hm its 4$... correct or too cheap? ;)

  • jarjar Patron Provider, Top Host, Veteran

@William Well the low storage lowers the value of the spot to me significantly, so it's really just for the ram ;)
