Come on, after so much time and people still complain about not respecting promises? My problems with OVH run for longer than most people, but, come on, even people here discussed it for more than a year.
They can charge whatever they want, they always had a fee and they had 1-2 month promo between Jan/Feb where they removed the fee for SYS.
It's not unfair (as stated on that hilarious OVH thread) and the promo banner on the SYS site stated the end date quite clearly at the bottom (albeit tiny writing).
If you're looking to buy the SYS for a month or two then obviously it does not make sense buying one however if it is for the long term then it's a no brainer where you get really good DDoS protection and from what I believe good set of Intel SSDs/Toshiba or HGST HDDs and hardware in general.

I selected their 30EUR server and incl VAT and setup fee, the first payment is 95EUR. o.O Might as well get a server from Hetzner auctions.
£ 44.99 setup fee or non on 12 months, sure this has gone down...
I'm certainly going to give Hetzner a try. Only problem is finding a similar provider on the other side of the pond.
Pretty sure it was always like $60-70 ish, or you could spread it out over 6 months.
Typical OVH http://forum.ovh.co.uk/showthread.php?9732-Setup-fee-is-back-even-if-promotion-was-until-28-02-2015-!!-Totally-UNFAIR-!
Setup fee's on OVH for me haven't changed, still the incredibly high fee of £100 per server... Not really the ideal...
Setup fee on my last order with soyoustart in December was only £8.50 (without VAT)
Setup fee on my last order was 59€ in July at the german soyoustart website.
