    They most likely do it because they can and don't get enough attention at home or are just simply bored.

    This wasn't a DDoS. Packets could make it to the edge of the network fine they just weren't going anywhere after. It was either someone screwing up bad at a datacenter or an exploit.

    Bloomin 10 year olds loaded with a booter, "it has 1 gazillion gbit attack powah" - took down xbox live and PSN because their friends didn't accept their game request evidentially and now Facebook, IG? Their friends didn't like their new profile picture or something?

    Oh friends, they probably don't have any for being so secluded in their own home and being too busy to talk to them due to plotting something new.

    Jesus it goes on but honestly they're proving nothing, in fact they're just leading to services hardening their networks - woo!

    Lastly, I seear theyll take credit for anything that looks impressive to them... Pha!

    Facebook was down due to an Internal issue not because of Hackers.

    BBC reporting a configuration change that Facebook implemented was to blame and no that group of skids.
