Leeching Speed
Hi
My question is more related to Networking then VPS and hosting stuff. In my hostel there are multiple tp link routers which distribute net. They are connected to a 16 port 100mb/sec hub/switch.
He uses some kind of software to leach all net speed. He enjoys speed 1mb ~ 2mb /sec where we get 10-20 Kb /sec
So any one has any solution?

I am not the admin of the router....I am just a student..and the server admin is a noob
if they setup QOS i doubt they are a noob. You need admin access to the router to configure QOS settings.
If he is a noob..Most probably the admin login credentials for the router are the default and he would not have it reset...I bet most people don't do...even techies...;)
login: admin
pass : admin
Just pistol whip him and say, "You better let me have all the bandwidth or you will be swimming with the fishes!" (/joke)
Give this a try :P

Thanx...I will try....what about netcut?
Note; the admin is Cisco certified but he foesnot want to fix it..he is too lazy...
Maybe he's the one who leech.
