Looking for a cheap and dirty E3 system with a single 2TB HDD.
Nothing fancy just a /29 will do.
8GB of ram will do.

I don't think you'll get cheaper than soyoustart or Online.net
Would prefer US east in terms of location. I've seen them offered anywhere between $35 and $80. But I'd like to keep it in the $50 area if I can.

A cheap E3 with a nice large HDD is hard to come by.
Maybe you could work something with Dedispec for less ram?

Keep an eye on wholesaleinternet.net, they have the E3-1240v2 for $49.00/mo but it's out of stock. DataShack.net has the E3-1230v2 (which is also out of stock), but it comes with 32GB RAM and 2x2TB SATA or 2x120GB SSD Drives for $94/mo. I'm not sure but if you contact them, they might be able to sell you a server in your price range if you ask them to lower the RAM and hard drive sizes.

@agoldenberg does it have to be an E3? Would you consider Intel Xeon X3450 with 8 GB RAM, 120GB SSD + 2TB HDD, 20 TB Bandwidth in Chicago for $55/mo or $600/yr?

E3-1240, only problem is HDD is only 500GB but I am sure they can swap in a larger disk for you.
