What is the difference in USATL Yearly @ 25$ per year with only 256MB ram and 10GB HDD, compared to Gigabit OVZ with 200GB HDD and 2GB RAM? Seem that vps with way better specs is same priced with a lower one.

The USATL is KVM, while the OVZ is OpenVZ.

Please read our reviews before coming to that conclusion :-)

I used to be a customer of them with a custom plan a year ago while they were offering services in the UK (before the DDoS clusterfak) and I've had great experiences with them for that time.

We'll see how this box performs in the future. So far so good :)

  • What you mean by "before the DDoS clusterfak". Is the UK location not so good?

9 out of 10 hosts here at LEB/LET got DDoS'd on their UK location. We all assumed there was a host that didn't want us offering UK services. Nonetheless, we are using a better DC in Maidenhead, instead of our previous Coventry DC.

Nope, it was awesome and I'm sure it still is, however in the last year somebody had been DDoS-ing a lot of hosts that were advertising on LET. I've never had a single problem because of DDoS on my rsk box. I'm not sure why they didn't advertise the UK deals anymore at that time, I thought they did it to avoid any possible ddos that could have happened to them.

EDIT: yeah, rsk just explained it that I didn't realize

Sure, not a problem, order one and then open a ticket and we will manually do the changes for you :-)

You get 2vCPU cores, on a fair share scheme. Therefore, constantly using 2.0 load is not permitted. However, we are relaxed and there are no automated systems that will auto reboot/suspend/etc.

General rule: you should not be making an impact on other clients.

Are there any automation systems that kill processes on UK?

    No :-)

  • rsk said: There are 2 kvm plans listed. If you require 2gb kvms we can do it at $5 a month :-)

rsk said: That was for Atlanta.

If you want phx and fra you can go for the cloud bundle and get 1gb free ram :-)

I was one of the testers for the cloud bundle, and I must say I loved the interface. Could I take you up on that offer?

After order, please open a ticket and we will add it for you.

EDIT: Please no more requests for 1GB additional RAM on top of our cloud bundle, the pricing is already pretty competitive.

You can create 2 VMs on our cloud platform, that means that each VM comes to about $2.995/month and if you split your resources in half, that makes 512MB ram for each :O
