Have you had a look at Froxlor? http://www.froxlor.org/features.html
I'm interested in this. But, why can't you use Apache or Nginx? Kloxo has issues with Lighttp at the moment.
Yeah i know fiverr but i prefer make a deal with someone here . you get 4$ per complete fiverr . not sure if id trust a 4$ job from a random fiver member

@HALFeatenpie no shit!
@qwerty6666 Froxlor is a big pain in the ass to setup. So good luck.. Good thing is that their installation guides are pretty well written.
Might have to make a Froxlor template for our servers.
@BlueVM It's a pretty cool control panel, just a pain in the ass to setup and I couldn't get SSL for multiple domains working. It's lacking a lot of documentation and support.
My biggest problem is there's no file manager in the customer control panel
@BlueVM You're supposed to upload your own to a shared area and set the URL in the configuration I think (web based ftp script). Same with webmail. I don't think there's a way to integrate it into the control panel sadly.
b low end job lol.
Who would pay seven bucks for a Low End BlowJob?
We have a lot of forever alone's here!
I just like derailing threads for fun.
The bus that just went past my house, had an advert for Ted on it!! Out August 1st..
Life is so much better without control panels (shell scripting FTW), unless you need a UI for clients.
Perhaps creating a resource of decent setup scripts for Low End Boxes might be useful for some?
@serverbear Like the ones on the wiki? http://www.lowendtalk.com/wiki/
@AsadHaider Without getting off topic, just something more robust. Things get out of date pretty quickly.
@serverbear There's the github minimal install scripts which are kept updated, can't remember the project name at the moment though. That one even configures nginx domains for you.
I personally still prefer doing things myself rather than using scripts/panels.
They save a lot of time. If you have to do things in a hurry, you go with something proven and stable where you dont have to worry about security much as long as you keep the updates updated :P.
I went first into virtualization because it saves time. My answer to everything was: "I will just put a VM for this".
One VM per task, easy to maintain, no conflicts, you know where your problem is when s**t happens, if it is mission critical, you surely have a backup image, if it fails will probably not bring all network down, so an and so forth. They can also be really slim if designed for one task only.
I have VMs at work for routing, DPI, DHCP (yes, one VM for DHCP only), VPN server, samba server, postgres, mssql, I could go on forever. The back-up server is real, tho, all VMs back-up there as well as the users, so a real robust raid is needed in this case, as well as a big flow network.
Use specialized distros and specialize them further, if they can do more than one task, put up one for each and disable the parts you dont use.
Served me well for years.
