I am also considering getting a Wordpress sharing plan on Siteground.

Does any of you have a plan with them? Would you recommend me Siteground?

    Why buy a vps and a wordpress hosting plan? If you got a vps do it yourself. There are tons of tutorials. If you dont know anything about linux hosting get a managed VPS and ask them to help you

    Siteground is great. A step above typical budget shared hosting.

    I have an account with them since February 2014. They are simply great. Uptime, speed, server response is best I have seen. They also provide Superchache and support for cloudflare from their pane.

    They use Apache 2.2, php 5.5 and mysql 5.4. You will hardly found anything updated with other known shared hosts..
