Hi Folks,
After spending another morning in my sandbox I need to extend my play pen a little
Just looking for suggestions or direct sales pitches for a cheapo dedi.
Quad Core preferred 8GB Ram preferred 500GB HDD minimum (a little SSD for caching would rock my world) handful of IP's 3 usable would be enough Native IPv6 /48 preferred but /64 is fine BW: some would be nice :)_
I don't really care where it is at all but would be nice to try a provider I don't use for shits and giggles.
NO: online.net, hetzner, ovh or worldstream thanks.

Do you have any target price in mind? Does it need to have IPMI?
If it fits the bill I will go with the cheapest price offered, but erm less than $40 would be nice, less than $30 would be great, less than $20 would make me lol with a smile, less than $15 would make me buy 2
I don't mind paying yearly after the first month or right away if I know the host.
Is it for personal use, or for putting customers (like LowEndSpirit) on it?
Bit of both, I plan to use this one as my beta server so it will have customers on from time to time.
The truth is it really depends, if someone offers me a good deal I might reconsider the use or buy 2, kind of going in to this with an open mind.
did you take a look at www.datashack.net or www.seflow.net yet? i'm not sure if they offer what you require but their deals and service are really good.
I have seflow already, and datashack... its like hmmm, I don't know why I just never trusted the name and with absolutely no good reason
What about Delimiter's X5150, 16GB, 500GB disk unit - $20/month (paid quarterly) and comes with Blesta, Virtualizor and Interworx.

Want to split a server? I have a Dacentec server that I'll be retiring next week and since it's past the RTO period I can either ship it to another data center (lots of cheap options these days) or I can keep it there for $40/month. The only requirement it doesn't meet is the 500GB drive, it has 4x 146GB SAS drives (HW RAID10).
I was about to get one of the $35 servers from the latest deal but the price on the second drive was a real killer so I passed on it again.
@MikHo - additional 500GB disk is $10/month
@KuJoe thanks for the offer but I would be tearing it down constantly and really want a bare metal without restrictions etc, I suspect I would get on your nerves if you were in the middle of something
X5150 is only a dual core but I will consider that, when people are charging as much for a second drive as the server it gets a bit silly I suppose.
@MarkTurner how much for a /27?
@William - IPs are all the same $1/IP/month - /27 = 32 IPs = $32
Sorry was the $39 offer, additional 1TB disk (as disk1 was 1TB) is another $20 /month.
so in total $60/month paid quarterly... bit to much for what I was planning for it.
@MikHo - extra 1TB is $15/month, if you look at it that for an extra $15 you're getting hardware RAID1 its a good deal
Thanks @Mark_R checked out the ones I dont have, the prices seriously spiral when adding IP's or a 2nd drive.
Not really, Hardware raid is already included in the $39 plus everything else.
Not saying its a bad price. For me its a turn off when the extra disk costs almost half of what the server costs.
