    Some hosts would say 1024MB of vSwap RAM. What is the correct statement?
    Nice offer, by the way - best of luck with sales :)

    @Eric
    Guaranteed ram =768 guranteed
    Burst= 1024
    Guaranteed - burst=vswap=256

  • 768mb / 1024 Burst

    vs

    768mb / 256 vswap

    Im not the tech guy so I dont 100% understand the difference but I believe vswap is basically using hard drive as memory and burst is actually bursting ram. But im not 100% certain.

    Corey could tell you more accurately.

    However most people prefer 768mb Guaranteed over 512 guaranteed / 1024 burst. From what Ive experienced.

  • vSwap isn't usually added onto the Guaranteed Ram like Burst Ram is.

    For example:
    512MB Ram/1GB Burst

    512MB Ram
    vSwap 256MB

    I don't know the marketing behind this, I just copy everyone else. :)

    It's not; vswap and burst both live in system memory and never touch disk. vSwap is more in line with Linux's expectations when it comes to memory, while burst is.. not..

    what about ipv6?

  • We will be getting our own allocation of ip's directly from ARIN very very soon. Once we have our ips from ARIN we will be offering ipv6. (Probably very cheap too, possibly free.)

    Its not the standard that ipv6 is free? Who knows you may charge a dollar a IP and it would be cheaper to go with someone else.

  • I have no idea what the standard is for iPV6, we dont offer them yet. When we do offer them we'll cross that bridge. However, your probably right they probably will be free.
