Is it possible to migrate/transfer vm (kvm/openVZ) instance into vmware platform?

Ok I will look at the vmware converter stuff, anyone could confirm on this or did anyone had experience on this before, how painful is the conversion process?

I've converted from KVM to ESXi using the converter. It might not work for containers like OpenVZ though.

There's no automated tool to convert OpenVZ to KVM, at least not that I'm aware of. KVM will be converted to ESXi using the converter like @KuJoe said.

FWIW, good move on switching to ESXi
